Long time Bitcoiner here (started in 2010, dropped it and came back in 2013 to a holy cow moment) and early technology adopter.

I've been on /r/btc for about 6 months or so and I'm helping folks adopt bitcoin.

I switched to running a BU node about 3 months ago. I agree with BU goals and I disagree with the principles of the Blockstream maintainers.

I would like to sign up and to help in any way possible.

@todu, @Jefferson Nunn
I will include your applications in the next vote, likely later this month.
@Diestor, likewise, but first can you please post a link to a couple of years of your on-line history?

I'm interested in helping with Bitcoin Unlimited.

- Been using Bitcoin since 2011
- Have small commit into Bitcoin core test suite
- Helped fork Zcash to remove founders reward (Zclassic)
- Created Distributed Ledger Tech for Wall Street (Domus Tower)
- Been attending Bitcoin Dev meetups in SF since 2014

Bitcoin is a coin for everyone, and we need to prove that by giving miners the best possible option if they choose to upgrade the protocol to meet the increase in demand for Bitcoin.

Still possible to be a member?

Welcome! We need ppl who can write well and present the BU position to a wider audience just as much as we need coders.
Ah, just spotted this. I am an academic, writer (published with academic presses), and have raised in the humanities, but currently lecturing in technical fields. So hopefully a useful fit.

Hi, would like to join as well!

I read the articles and strongly agree with both Satoshi's original vision and your project direction. I'm a software architect at a big 5 internet company with 20 years of C++ experience. I've also got a minor in math with a focus in cryptography. I setup a miner in my garage a day after I read the original paper in 2011. I've hodling and following Bitcoin ever since.

@solex I updated my profile with my reddit account name (also cryosanth).

Welcome to the bitco.in/forum, and good to see your messages! Can you please edit your post to include link(s) to a couple of years of your on-line history?

I will include your applications in the next vote which is provisionally set for March 10th.

Is it possible to do this without planting so much personal information on a public forum?

I'd be happy to confirm via other forums through PM, etc.

@solex: And preferably history before BU inception. This shouldn't turn into an echo chamber, yet we also don't want to be overrun by trolls.

@Jefferson Nunn , @Rhett Creighton : Do you have online history regarding the blocksize limit, preferably before BU inception?

The challenge is to convince the members here to vote you in. How much information you need to share to do that is not clear. But if none of the members know you, and if you don't have an online presence related to Bitcoin that you can link to, then I suspect the vote may not end up in your favour.

I would like to apply for membership.

I have first encountered Bitcoin in June 2011.
I was impressed by the white paper and did some GPU, FPGA and ASIC mining during a few years.
These days I do some cloud mining and hodl my bitcoins.

Although off-chain can have benefits it is my opinion that keeping the on-chain approach is the proven and preferred way and BU gives the network an excellent and democratic way to control the block size and enables bitcoin to grow today and in the future as needed.

I have been active since 2011 on bitcointalk.org:

I made some transactions in the early days via bitcoin-otc:
