Thanks for pointing this out AdrianX.

Because this is the one pressing matter at the moment it will be most peoples reason why they found/chose BU.
I hope that after a solution has been found BU will stay an innovative client and a big player in the bitcoin environment.
We need healthy competition not monopolized development.

I for one do not take voting lightly.

@CubicEarth Great to see your application, and its link to your long posting history on bct and reddit.
@torusJKL Welcome also, but can you please edit your post to include link(s) to a couple of years of your on-line history?

Drawing a line here for new membership applications which will be considered in the forthcoming vote.
Further applications are welcome but will be part of the next vote. Likely in late-April / early-May.

@solex

I modified the signature line on my BCT account with a link to my member profile here on this forum.

I have read the Articles of Federation and agree with their concepts and terms.

@Roy Badami
I can vouch for this. He did provide a node for a while during one of our testing phases.

@sickpig: are you able to confirm @kyuupichan's involvement in the GFW testing? It's a significant claim, would be nice to have verification.
He lent us an arm machine and related connectivity located in Tokyo while we were searching for a more suitable VPS to use during the Xthin experiment that lead to @Peter R series on medium.

I would vouch for @kyuupichan
He is a longtime bitcoiner, he supports growing bitcoin on-chain, and he also was the one who taught me how inputs/outputs work in bitcoin so many years ago.

I am interested in becoming a member.

What kind of extra information should I provide here?

I guess I haven't 'contributed' to BU in BU specific threads, more that I have contributed to the 'larger blocks' discussion (I post in /r/btc, under a different handle, the /u/JoelDalais I use mainly for work or personal related stuff). Some might say I've been rather vocal about what blockstream are trying to do (though a bit quieter last half year), I've chatted with most of you at least once, or more (under my pseudo-handle).

How can I contribute?

I'm not a coder (well, very old skool c++ coder, but mostly forgotten). But the economic, sociological philosophy, or regulatory frameworks (and convincing regulators of 'stuff', did stuff in the UK, re: current framework), etc, sure, these things I can assist on.

Why do I like BU?

Because it's what the system should be like. This method of floating size is what will allow for continuous growth without the need for ever bringing up the block size again.

I just voted for the first time on New Members BUIP48

I wasn't sure who to include or exclude.
Finally I settled on the idea that I would like to encourage members to be active on the form, and so the number of post a member has made on THIS forum become the limiting factor.

example : tkg Joined: Jan 18, 2017 but only has 1 post ( his post soliciting membership)
i decided to vote against his application.
Just say'n

Hey guys. I would like to apply.

Bitcoiner since 2013. Intuitively for bigger blocks since the beginning. Increasingly firmly convinced while talking with small blockists and constating their poor arguments and economic understanding.

You can check my twitter: @VivienBTC

And my posting history here and on bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile

Btw while looking my post history on bitcointalk I have found this little discussion with cypherdoc. It's both funny and sad:

I would like to be a member.

I am co-organizer for Tokyo Bitcoin Meetup Group with RV and friends since 2013.

I am seed round investor in breadwallet, Yours etc. Also promoted lots of bitcoin based projects. My background is sales, business development in telecom industry prior to Bitcoin.

I also tried to run for the lower house parliament election in 2012 representing Tokyo (District 5) or Hiroshima (District 3) in 2012 under Osaka Revolution Party, which was advocating small government. (a bit like Ron Paul movement). However, I didn't get the party's official nomination so I gave up and decided to focus on Bitcoin Movement.

I want to see on-chain scaling and follow Satoshi's original vision. I want to help to make the world a better place with Bitcoin.

welcom @guster, I see your twitter history goes back to 22 Apr 2015 and you've been a proponent of Dash, what peeked your interest in bitcoin?

Feel free to take part in other discussions, and ideas on the forum.

Take a look at the BUIP index https://bitco.in/forum/threads/buip-index.1414/ and brows some of the (drafts) as a member you are not required to vote on BUIPs out side of your experiences however members are required to vote to stay active. So feel free to ask questions or give input - the more varied and challenging the better.

I have a few other questions I'll ask all applicants before the next vote

Unlike Dash, Bitcoin divided to several team. At first it was confusing to me. Bitcoin-unlimited is satoshi's original approach. And by reading Roger Ver twitters, I joined this. Especially blockstream's behavior to bitcoiner make lead to this team. Bitcoin should be e-cash. I cannot use bitcoin after tx-fee becoming high, go back to VISA card in international usage.(please consider, I'm not native speaker. thanks)
