@Bagatell

Let's hope they dump into Bitcoin. Too much money pumped into shitcoins. It's time to come home.
An old sea dog once told me not to fall in love with the first boat I skippered, there's a better one just round the corner. This is the boat he was talking about.

My brain: It's not possible to predict short time price movements for bitcoin, unless you have inside / market maker information. But bitcoin has a good probability to become THE global currency. And the scarcity will bring the value to the moon some time in the future.

My heart: It will go to the moon this year. Scaling will be figured out BEFORE the Scaling Bitcoin Convention in december.

My guts: It will go to the moon next week. Because Gemini will get the liquidity to take it away during the week.

My balls: It will go to the moon tomorrow!

So what should I trust?

My brain: Experience has tought me that my logical nerd head usually miss a premise or two. Factors that was not in the equation.

My heart: Well, I'm single at the moment.

My balls: Gets me into action. But also into trouble.

I go for my gut feeling! It usually works!

The market is bullish and wants to a reason to be exuberant. I think the resistance at $250 has been eroded to the extent that it can test $270.

@humanitee
I like what needmoney90 did. Nice effort. But I don't think fake trading is only done in high volume in short periods of time (usually just 1 minute). I don't think you can filter out fake trades with a high volume filter. The same manipultation can be done in small increments. In fact, I can not know for sure that those 100k BTC in one minute trades are fake. But they look like they are.

I hope Gemini is clean. At least for a few months before it's corrupted like other power structures, lol.

EDIT: Correction, /u/lowstrife did it. Cred should be accurate ;)

That's what every altcoin user says.
modulo me.

cause I'm not a monero user, let's say I'm more a lurker.

that said, what I meant is that the crypto behind it, the source code, the dev group is significantly different from much of altcoins I'm aware of.

just to give an Idea of what I meant, fwiw wladmir (laanwj) have recently contributed to monero codebase.

Good to see he's got so much spare time. I guess the Bitcoin scaling issue is resolved then?

That's an easy and fitting explanation for all of the blocksize circus, BTW: The core devs holding certain altcoins more dearly than BTC...

In contrast, I expect (simply due to them being very early) Gavin and Mike to hold significant fractions of their wealth in BTC.

Hurting Bitcoin might be more effective than pushing Altcoins ...

(Not saying this is what is happening here, but it does fit as a simple explanation covering a lot of observed data)

wow guys. it seems I've hit a raw nerve here :)

I don't care much about altcoins in general. I've no skin in the game if you will.

My observations are mainly due to simple curiosity about the "circus" mentioned above.

In my humble opinion monero's overall quality stand out from the "circus" crowd, just saying.

edit: grammar

Bitcoin around 248..
22M longs, 12500 shorts on finex.

I will continue accumulating until the halving. Once this US Marshalls Auction is out of the way that just leaves Gox coins as a potential negative (not sure it will be though there will be volatility!!), with the halving and ETF being the bull drivers for the next year.

The halving will reduce mining supply and bring monetary inflation down to ~4% which isn't too shabby.

Slow ascent.
Not popping any corks until the final US marshalls auction out the way.

Anyone open an Open ledger account for the purpose of trading?

It appears that that the fees are going to be pretty low, no?

And, seems to be fairly secure, like NO ONE is going to run off with your coins, no?

Good arbitrage opportunity, according to bitcoinwisdom.com. 5 USD between USD and yuan exchanges. Maybe the exchange rate between USD and yuan on bitcoinwisdom is wrong?

New York waking up now. Will we see proper liquidity on Gemini today?
