you know what really pisses me off...

knowing that if we didnt have core blocking the stream and had 8MB blocks 1 year ago
we'd have half full 8MB blocks by now.
but NO
we have half empty 1MB blocks.....

Exactly.

8MB blocks would be a huge statement of intent. The price would be higher, there would be a lot more buzz. If a tx pays enough fee for acceptance in a natural fee-market then it is not spam. Forcing users to fight for block space tells the users that they are spam, so they give up on crypto or move to alts.

Horror movie of the future: Bitcoin blocks no longer even half full while the 1MB remains. Devs chasing the settlement layer :unicorn: while the once vibrant ecosystem network effect stalls.

I prefer to think of the blocks as half full... hold on aren't they nearly full?
