It gets better. You know the comedic gold content of a news items is too damn high when even 12 hours after it has been posted in /r/buttcoin, it's still sitting there, with 0 replies, no-one daring to try to make fun. It's like when someone just told THE greatest joke ever, and everyone else is thinking "I can't possibly beat that...". Anyway, proof:

How about this idea for a meme... needs an animation though:

a "scaling up" movie comparing the block size to buildings (not necessary to scale

start from a two-person camping tent (650kb)
then a refugee style tent (1mb)
a normal small house, no garden or anything (2mb)
move up to a proper suburban house w/garden (4mb)
a little more fancy, villa w/swimming pool (8mb)
full-on luxury mansion (20MB)
picture of Tom Cruise's "airport estate" w/737 parked outside (32mb)
...
Empire State Building (pick a size)
Burj Khalifa (8GB)

best of course would be a continuous "zoom-out" like it's done for comparison animations of star sizes, for example... it would have captions like "Bitcoin's original technical limit", "Gavin's proposal", "BIP101 in 2020" etc.

What do you say? Perfect test for animation skills development?
