Will I be able to use Unlimited if I update Core to 0.12

Hello,

the early release of core 0.12 is out there. To tell my readers about it I have to test it. But if I update core 0.11.2 to 0.12 - can I still use Unlimited? (I use ubuntu and start unlimited with "nohup ./bitcoin-qt &").

You mean can you go back and forth between versions using the same block data? Sure, there is no conflict, nothing bad will happen to your blockchain.

Yes, that's I know. But works unlimited with core 0.12, or do I have to reinstall core 0.11.x to use unlimited again?

@Christoph Bergmann you don't have to reinstall anything as long as you have the different versions installed in different folders. You can have Core 12.x, BU 11.2, Core 11.2 etc, XT 11D, etc..

Ok, I can use different folders, I see ... problem is I use ubuntu and that crazy thing thinks it's best to never ask me where to install things. So I don't know if I'd still have 0.11.2 after installing 0.12.

Maybe it's better I use my windows-boot for this.
