isn't there a letter signed by 7 (8?) entities in favour of block max size increase? other than the ones you already mentioned circle, knc miner, xapo comes to mind.

I will try to find out the doc and I'll post reference here.

Ok, I think I have both of those letters.

If anybody can read the primary source of that letter and confirm the translation that would be great.

How about merchants? Any statements from Gyft (they will need bigger blocks to put their cards on the blockchain), newegg, tigerdirect, dell?

Any major holders sign a statement with their coins?

I've been reading stuff like this...
...and wondering why is it that these companies won't launch bigblocks nodes to support their goals? Currently the node count is so small that companies like BitPay could have a huge effect.

Then miners would have something to think about.

I think there is a group of people who are all friends with each other, and who are also connected to Blockstream who want to keep the block size small. Literally everyone else outside of this circle of friends wants the blocksize to increase. That clique is very powerful within the bitcoin community, as many of them own many of the community venues such as irc, reddit and bitcointalk. My experience has been that internet communities fade over time, so it's only a matter of time before all of these people find other more interesting irc channels to "inhabit". As time goes on, this friend group will fade away and what will be left are communities like this one where people's values regarding blocksize are much different.

@priestc

that's an interesting way to describe it. i think you're right; they probably are all friends. i wonder which came first friendship or Blockstream. if i had to guess it was probably the former.

That's a very good idea.
