Membership vote for Secretary of Bitcoin Unlimited

The position of Secretary, is open for voting for 5 days, the maximum period specified in the Articles.

Please reply to this thread

The candidates are Jerry Chan (digitsu), Trevin Hofmann (TrevinHofmann) and Peter Rizun (Peter R):

BUIP028 Jerry Chan
BUIP029 Trevin Hofmann
BUIP032 Peter Rizun

Please reply to this thread with a vote in the following format. Let's propose AA, BB and CC are running, and you want AA, are OK with BB but don't want CC. You'd then vote like this:

AA: VOTE
BB: yes
CC: no

So AA gets your vote. But if BB gets the majority, you vote "yes" to BB's BUIP (it must pass based on the criteria specified in the Articles -- of course all "VOTE" words also count as "yes"), and if CC gets the majority, you vote "no" to the BUIP.

You must only write "VOTE" at most ONCE, write "yes" or "no" as many times as you wish.
Please quote this section and fill it out:

Jerry Chan (digitsu):
Trevin Hofmann (TrevinHofmann):
Peter Rizun (Peter R):

Votes need to be signed.

Please get involved. Bitcoin Unlimited is the start of a new paradigm where the membership decides who manages the organization day-to-day.

I think votes for public roles should be private. In the future (or if this vote doesn't make quorum) we should probably do it via voting tokens which need to be sent into a candidates ballet box address. That way votes can be anon and more true to the spirit of democratic votes for office.
I have always believed that anonymity of votes are important, but until now there has not been a vote for a public office of which requires a higher standard of rigor.

As I believe our voting process is of paramount importance, and that votes should be free, uncoerced, uninfluenced decisions of our constituency, (to which only anonymity can guarantee). I'm going to abstain from voting, in the hopes that quorum is not reached, so that we can do a re-vote with such a system.
