Unable to 'like' more than once

Since a few days or so, I've been having issues similar to those reported by others (e.g. @majamalu) that I can't use the 'Like' function properly.

In my case, when the problem happens the browser displays a status message at the bottom that it is reading from some Google API site, and the little progress bar icon indicates that the forum page is doing something, but no further result.

Once it happens I can't do anything anymore, have to close the page and log back in.

I am having similar trouble with Alerts and with quoting/editing. Press on them, get stuck, have to close. Sometimes the page does not load at all (hence the suspicion of DDOS). Using Safari.

Using Safari 10.1.2 on a Mac running OS 10.11.6.
Wanted to add this info as an edit of the above post but could not.
Sometimes bitco.in itself fails to load, similar to what used to happen back in 2015.

Having problems on Chrome on android 6.1 and Chrome on windows 10 and Firefrox on windows 10.
