Pointed my meager TH's at Slush's bip 101 port today. Seems to be growing nicely, over 6 PH/s now. Without competition from the other majors, Slush is going to be gaining share as people vote with some hashes.

Aaaand, Slush got hit with a 3 hour ddos today. Why is the opposition so underhanded in their tactics? Censorship? DDoSing nodes, now pools? Stay classy, keep throwing hockey sticks.

Yeah that is disappointing that a ddos attack may have been successful. However, one of their reps hangs out on the XT IRC channel and pushes 101.

Why do you think it is the "opposition" maybe you mean competition?

It could be one of the large banks or GCHQ or NSA.
It could be Microsoft. They have just announced they are backing Etherium with a Blockchain that creates blocks every 17 seconds. Big business wanting to compete with bitcoin can just keep slipping flys into the oil until everyone gives up mining or just jumps ship.
