Poll: What is the best course of action if Classic does not activate

If Classic does not activate, but a majority of users want a 2MB hard fork, what is the best option?

  • Do nothing - Accept the miner vote and continue with 1MB blocks

  • Promote Classic - Have the community more actively try to engage miners to increase miner adoption

  • Hard fork with Classic miners - Set an activate block # to force a >1MB blocks chain

"Ya probably a little bit of baggage there with "Lightning"

You're also getting close to Apples stuff - firewire and thunderbolt.

My stance - wait til Satoshi Roundtable to hear what is said but this is what I would like to see said for Classic

1. Keep the Classic code with 2MB for now
2. In April incorporate Core's SegWit code until Currnet Classic Code

After that keep promoting that Core does a 2MB incorporation by July 2016. Then be ready to HF

@JVWVU

Not arguing with your opinion (that is yours to hold), just clarifying:

After that keep promoting that Core does a 2MB incorporation by July 2016.
Core have only promised to provide code by July 2016, whereas the actual HF would likely not occur earlier than July 2017 (that is a date they mention so possibly they want to program it in as a no-earlier-than condition), and probably later (if ever - as subject to famous Core consensus).

Two questions on your stance:
- the "be ready to HF" - does that only apply in case Core does not deliver code in July 2016?
- if they do, are you suggesting to go along with it without knowing the definitive activation conditions?
