Color scheme

Great to see a new forum, and on the unique bitco.in!

Color scheme. Well, can I make some suggestions?
Light colors like yellow, orange do not have good contrast with the white background, also the pale grey side-text which is faint.

May I humbly suggest considering choosing darker shades e.g. more like those below:

Thanks solex, great to see you on here! Just came across your thread from last year about future-proofing Bitcoin for common usage--interesting twist of fate.

Yes, the color scheme needs tweaking. I was using this logo as an inspiration for the current theme:



The forum's skin has a primary, secondary and tertiary color, in addition to about a dozen other supplemental colors. After tweaking it for a while, I realized that the task of customizing the palette requires a design talent much bigger than mine. So I will probably hand this off to a volunteer with design experience who can work on it in a private directory until we produce something outstanding. It would be cool to still use the Bitcoin logo colors at least in some capacity to set the theme and mood for the forum, but we'll figure it out!

Aha, yes I remember the "bits" debate well. Fun times compared to the 1MB drama.
Yep, a design pro would do a good job.
Good luck with the forum. It may start slow, but I am optimistic long-term because you have the ultimate domain name...

I actually kind of like the current colors, the orange anyway. I do however have a preference for 'night time themes' so the option for a dark theme would be appreciated, in particular the background. Black, pale grey and the current orange maybe as a scheme.
