Cannot open wallet

I just downloaded a wallet in bitcoin but cannot access. It was a zip folder and cannot be unzipped. I am using google. Can that present a problem?

Start by telling us where you got the wallet so we can have an idea of what we are dealing with here.

If it can't be unzipped something might have gone wrong on the download already.

I was in bitcoin.com and downloaded wallet. I believe it was directly from bitcoin.com

Bitcoin Core is a full node wallet.

I would not recommend it for beginners.

Bitcoin.com has it's own wallet which is easier to use and is also available for desktop and mobile phones.

What sort of wallet was it? Some offline version of the wallet? And it's also important what site the wallet was downloaded from and how famous it is, it could even be a virus.

The problem may be that it's not a wallet but a scam, or viruses may be attached to the wallet which, when unpacking may also infiltrate the system. THat's why you need to find out where you are downloading the product from.

Probably there is some antivirus on the computer, which doesn't let you open the wallet, that's why it's better to disable everything or try downloading the archive once again.

Please send us the file in zip form for us to help you. Also tell us where you downloaded the file from. There are so many scams happening in the world. My advise for you is to read the reviews of the wallets before downloading them.

Maybe it's worth downloading from a more authoritative resource, even better from the official website, because it can be some kind of scam.
