[doublepost=1535382326][/doublepost]I don't like that we have BUIP numbers reserved (squatting) for something that is not yet made public on this forum. (e.g. BUIP93, 99)
It is also bad for voting as old BUIPs with low numbers will not be as prominent in the voting system as the latest ones.
(e.g. BUIP69 which is burried in the middle of BUIPs we already have voted on and some members might miss it)

It was sticky, until I opened the current vote, it will be stuck again when it closes. Same for the thread for the latest release.
BUIP069 was reserved for a couple of months by BU member Nic.

What is the advantage of reserving a BUIP number over assigning one once the BUIP has been published on the forum?

@torusJKL A few proposers have requested this and so we have obliged in the past. Presumably it is a working number for their draft and internal reference. If the procedure proves to be an annoyance to others, then it can be discontinued.
