BitPay supports merging BIP 101 into Bitcoin Core

BitPay favors implementing BIP 101 and wants to see it become a part of the Bitcoin Core client.

From BitPay CEO Stephen Pair:

We believe BIP 101 will safeguard Bitcoin’s decentralized nature while providing a reliable, immediate path toward greater network throughput, and we would like to express our support for merging BIP 101 into Bitcoin Core.

BitPay's official position is that BIP 101 will not risk the integrity of the Bitcoin ecosystem as a whole and in fact will preserve the decentralized nature of Bitcoin.

As a reminder, BitPay is the biggest Bitcoin payment processor in the world.
