[ANN] Cardstack - The experience layer of the decentralized internet

Mar 14, 2018

How is it going? My day is full of documents about blockchain technology. Today, I am so excited to recommend an excellent project to you that makes blockchain technology usable and scalable. The project name Cardstack.

Early decentralized tech like Bitco in demonstrates the promise of blockchain, but has only delivered gains to a handful of enthusiasts. Cardstack is a leap forward for blockchain at every layer of the software stack—providing a toolset that unlocks the potential of the decentralized Internet for everyone. With Cardstack, end-users can mix and match features from multiple apps or dApps without worrying about a mess of separate cloud subscriptions or utility tokens. What’s even more exciting: this system lets users design incredible new workflows, joining services from different layers of the Internet, that simply wouldn’t have been possible in a centralized world.

How Cardstack works

End users and contributors can register their interest in acquiring Cardstack Tokens (CARD) by depositing ether from their wallet during the Token Generating Event (TGE) or afterwards through peer-to-peer transactions. As needed, CARD can be converted into Software & Services Coupons (SSC), which are in turn sent to an app contract to establish the retainer agreement. Converted CARD are locked in a reward pool until the next reward allocation cycle, which is triggered by a block-based timer. When a user starts using the app(s), usage data on- and off-chain are collected and periodically reported to the app contract, as proof that this particular user has redeemed a portion of the balance of the retainer.

The history of redemption events, combined with other aggregated data sets and statistical analyses, helps the network-wide reward pool smart contract determine a fair attribution and allocation of rewards to makers and miners in the Cardstack ecosystem. These cover material costs as well as fees and royalties owed to the teams who helped deliver the cohesive user experience.

End - users's benefits

I had mentioned the benefits generally above. And now, I give you more detailed information about it.

The first, certainly, Cardstack help you mix and match multiple dApps and cloud apps. There is no messes of separate cloud subscriptions or utility tokens when using Cardstack, so it no need for you to be worry about this problem. The second is creating amazing new workflow and app combinations using Cardstack Hub. Furthermore, you can not only use one token (CARD) that forms retainer agreements with all the services you need but also keep your data sovereign, or transmit it anywhere easily, with the card-based user experience. Finally, getting started quickly with fiat currency without encrypting expertise required. Are all of these enough for you to see Cardstack is worth using? I believe that your anwser is "Yes".

Cardstack released as Open Sourse in 2017, when the project already built and delivered. 2018 is its development stage. In this year, it is available to early adopters. And in planning stages in 2019, its networks will be ready for business. Looking forward, the potential Cardstack team will work to make it easier to design, develop, and deploy Cardstack experiences to any channel where end users are active. They plan to introduce user-controlled machine learning plug-ins to Cardstack Hub, which will help users automate common workflow decisions, so as to increase the velocity of interactions on business networks that are built on Cardstack.

Cardstack aims to be one of the feature-richest platforms for decentralized application development. Being an ideal idea found by Chris Tse who is a co-founder of blockchain companies Monegraph and Dot Blockchain Media, and has more than a decade of experience leading R&D and innovation teams for Fortune 500 companies; runing and developing by an enthusiastic team; having a precise roadmap with reliable steps in the future. Cardstack has a great opportunity to be a successful project!
