Access to attachments

I've noticed that access to attachments is for people with an account only.
In my opinion this is not in line with a transparent open-source community.

May I suggest that unless it gives any issues this configuration is changed to only basic hotlink protection?

Noted. However, as of now attachment uploading is limited even for members in order to keep the database size compact and keep the forum running fast as our traffic grows. We have almost no attachments in the current database, because Imgur is the primary way that users have been serving images. As the traffic grows and we scale our servers up, the attachment policy will probably become more lenient.
