The value in Bitcoin is financial independence from intermediaries who up to now controlled much of our economic activity and quite frankly, financial freedom.

The term "wage slave" exists for a reason, and applies to a lot of the people.

If you haven't read it, I suggest the Bitcoin whitepaper's opening sections.
