I came across a crypto site that claimed to earn daily returns for users using “AI crypto arbitrage trading”. The site promised a 1% daily return on deposited funds. Although the site’s domain was cbdexapi . pro, the site used the branding of a highly popular crypto exchange to mislead users. I deposited funds with cbdexapi . pro which showed I would indeed earn a 1% daily return. I was able to withdraw money for a few days. However, when I attempted to make another withdrawal, the site claimed that because my account balance had fallen below the site’s liquidity requirement, I would need to deposit more money. I did so, and tried to withdraw, but I was told that my withdrawal would take 50 days to process because of “blockchain congestion”. After 50 days, I contacted the site again. This time, I was told I needed to pay 15% of my account balance for “technical support” from the “Federal Reserve’s blockchain regulator”. I was unable to withdraw my money and the site became inactive. I figured I fell victim into a common scam that has apparently been going on for a while. I also realized that they switched into another website since the layout was almost similar. As I was doing my research, I found a review about GearHead Engineers made by a victim of the same scam. He outlined his encounter with the scammers and explained how GearHead Engineers helped him get back his capital investment. I immediately contacted the cyber security company and true to the reviewer’s word, GearHead was aware of the steps to take and so they only took 6 hours to get my money back. I wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone sailing on the same boat.
