Despite short term volatility, when investing for the long term, no other asset class or stocks can quite beat the gains you would make with bitcoin. Bitcoin's supply is capped at 21 million while its demand is dictated by how known it is to the people across the world and at this point only a small fraction of the world's population is aware of crypto... so we are looking at a situation where there is only so many bitcoins out there while the demand for this limited number will continue to increase over time. There is basically no limit to the upside in terms of potential for the price of bitcoin. So sure one can invest in gold and possibly gain a few percentage points every year, or you can invest in bitcoin and double to triple your money every year (the average return on investment for bitcoin has been %200 per year since its inception).
