The main feature of cryptocurrency that it is decentralized and money can be sent from anywhere at any time, is considered as a drawback by some countries. Some countries consider that it may give birth to criminal activities to be done with even more advancement. Bitcoin can be used to purchase or sell illegal materials and may become a supporting factor to do all such tasks. That’s why some countries are confused to adopt it while others are accepting it freely.

As far as I know at the moment, China and Russia have banned the bitcoins, while the rest of the country does not say anything specific.

Bitcoin requires a computer and internet connection. Anywhere access to these can be had, bitcoin can be used.

Once they get their share of the pie through taxation that's the government's main concern unfortunately

I also agree with those who think that bitcoin can be bought in any country with an internet connection. But not in every country this can be done without breaking the law.

Some countries are vehemently against cryptos, including Bitcoin. Only time will tell whether they will change their mind.
