Recuva Hacker Solutions (RHS) is excited to introduce Safe{RecoveryHack} – a marketplace of recovery options within Safe{Wallet} that allows users to set up account recovery according to their preferences. Launched in collaboration with Sygnum, a global digital asset banking group, and Coincover, a UK-regulated recovery service provider, Safe{RecoveryHack} offers a curated suite of crypto recovery options. Built on Safe’s robust smart account infrastructure, this marketplace provides a tailored approach to account recovery.
The Challenge of Crypto Security
“One of the great challenges with making cryptocurrency and blockchain applications usable for average users is security: how do we prevent users' funds from being lost.” – Vitalik Buterin, in “Why We Need Wide Adoption of Social Recovery Wallets”
Self-custody is a core principle of Web3, but it comes with significant responsibility. Many users struggle with key management, leading to substantial losses of cryptocurrency. Over 900K ETH, worth approximately $1.92 billion, is inaccessible due to forgotten keys. Safe{RecoveryHack} addresses these issues by providing a flexible and secure recovery system.
Safe{RecoveryHack} – Your Customized Recovery Solution
Safe{RecoveryHack} empowers users with various recovery options, catering to different levels of self-custody appetite. The marketplace offers solutions for institutional treasuries, DAOs, and individual users. Starting today, self-custody recovery is available within Safe{Wallet}. Sygnum and Coincover recovery partners will be added in H1 2024, with more options to follow.
Key Features of Safe{RecoveryHack}
Starting today, Safe{Wallet} users can set up customized account recovery for Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, and Gnosis Chain. The account recovery process is configured through the Security & Login settings, enabling a Recovery module that requires a transaction.
Building a Recovery Ecosystem
In H1 2024, users will be able to nominate third-party recovery providers like Sygnum and Coincover. These reputable partners offer institutional-grade recovery solutions, broadening the range of recovery options for users with varying needs.
Possible Set-Up Configurations
“As the market for self-custody expands and new use cases emerge, there is a growing need for reliable institutional recovery solutions. For individuals holding valuable digital assets, complementing self-custody with additional safeguards provides a balance between financial sovereignty and risk management. This partnership reflects our commitment to meeting the evolving needs of institutional investors.” – Thomas Eichenberger, Chief Product Officer, Sygnum
"This collaboration aims to meet the complex needs of existing crypto users and create a foundation for newcomers. Our goal is to establish a flexible recovery solution that adapts to users' changing values, enhancing security and inclusivity in the digital asset environment." – Morgan Williams, Web3 Product Director, Coincover
