Cryptosnake: Results and Plans (February 2022)

It has been more than two months since the launch of the Cryptosnake game on November 31st, 2021. Thanks to all the players who have been there since the beginning!

From the very beginning, we presented ourselves as a transparent and open project. This applies to smart contract codes published in the public domain. This is about the liquidity pool that we publicly burned. The same applies to our development strategy.

This article is intended to summarize and share plans for the near future. In fact, this is an open letter from the Cryptosnake team to the community.


Cryptosnake Audience

The backbone of our audience is made up of early adopters of the game - those who joined the community before November 31st. A significant portion of you joined even earlier, before the listing of the SNK token and before the first batch of NFT Artifact sales.

In the first days after the start of the game, several hundred Dasypeltis snakes were created. Many of these snakes continue to earn tokens in the arena.

The number of snakes has increased significantly since the introduction of the Black Mamba character in the game. Then the number of snakes rose sharply to several thousand.

Then several thousand more new players joined the project after launching a large-scale marketing strategy, which included listing on the Korean exchange Bitglobal.

Now the number of active players exceeds 10 thousand. This is a good indicator for a young play-to-earn game. The game is less than three months old, and there are already so many of you. And this is just the beginning.

Our main tool for attracting new players at this stage is the NFT airdrop of Black Mamba characters. We are giving NFTs to bloggers and opinion leaders in the crypto industry. We are also launching airdrops with the opportunity to get a Black Mamba for a target action. At the same time, we are still advertising in the media, on YouTube and on social networks.

Meanwhile, the old players who bought old Black Mambas have a significant advantage over those who got it for free later: the old Mambas have a higher APR (30% vs 15%), a higher coefficient in the arena (1 to 1 vs 1 to 0.25) and a reduced minimum TVL threshold for applying artifacts (2201 vs 11002). The interests of the early players are very important to us.

At the moment, the total number of players in the Telegram community bot is 100 thousand people. About 35 thousand of them are active users who continue to follow Cryptosnake news.

In January 2022, we made the decision to move to Discord. This will help to weed out an inactive par of the audience and attract more players from the gaming community in different countries. Telegram as a messenger has helped us a lot to build the community that we have today, but it also has limitations. Telegram is not popular in the UK, South Korea and many other countries of interest to us. In the meantime, Discord is a convenient and dynamic messenger that can fully satisfy our needs.

By the end of 2022, we expect over 100,000 active players.

Events


We held two competitive events in December and January: Dasypeltis Mini Battle and Black Mamba Training Camp. We see that these events fuel the interest in the game among our players and attract new participants who have never played Cryptosnake before the start of the tournament.

In recent updates, we've been working on bringing even more events to the table in the future. Now part of the tokens during the purchase of a new snake is sent to the corresponding pool. Moreover, we have improved the security system to detect and block snakes using third-party programs faster.

Already this year we will hold new large-scale competitions, including the Intergalactic Black Mamba Competition, Snake Battlefield and others.

Artifacts

The first series of Artifact sales took place on October 20, 2021. More than half of all NFTs were bought in just a day of artefact sales, including three Rainbow Unicorn artifacts for 100,000 BUSD each. All unsold artifacts were burned.

On that day, early adopters of the game have got unique collectible artifacts that would never be re-released again. Each such rare artifact is now of great value on the marketplace.

However, since then, thousands of new players have come who did not have time to buy the coveted artifact. It's time for a new series of NFT artifact sales.

One of them will be the unique artifact Guild, which will allow you to create your own guild and receive impressive passive income. The concept of other artifacts is still being discussed, and we are open to your suggestions.

What has changed in the game since launch

Those who have played the arena from the very beginning know how far the game has come since then. Changes have affected literally every aspect.

  • The design of the arena has changed.
  • The game now has sounds and animations.
  • Bonus Box and Bomb appeared in the arena.
  • The blinking pixel appeared.
  • There was a progressive snake speed scale.
  • The mechanics of the distribution of tokens between pools has changed.
  • Black Mamba has appeared.
  • The prices and conditions for purchasing characters have changed.
  • Character balance has been adjusted.
  • The protection against cheaters has been strengthened.
  • A section with the statistics of the best players has appeared.
  • There was a halving of rewards.
  • And a few more adjustments.
Our metrics show that all this was right. The gameplay has become much more interesting, and the game economy has become more stable.

Plans for the near future

We continue to work on improving the game. For the coming months, we have the following innovations planned:

  • Gas optimization. Blockchain will charge a transaction fee once based on the total of all games played in a day, and not after each game. This will reduce players' gas costs.
  • A new method for connecting a wallet Signatures and approvals will not be required anymore. The less unnecessary actions there are the more comfortable game is.
  • Development of a separate Farms section for staking and providing liquidity.
  • New artifacts for the upcoming sale series, including the Guild Artifact.
  • A system of achievements that can be obtained in the game for performing certain actions.
  • Rabbit hunting.
  • Easter egg hunting.
  • Entering a qualitatively new level of UX / UI.
  • Minor bug fixes.
  • Analytics module for influencers and referral system for influencers. This will make our marketing campaigns more effective and allow us to attract even more ad players.
  • Carrying out new airdrops to attract new players.
  • Redemption and burning of tokens to support the game economy. Part of the tokens will be burned as a result of the sale of Guild artifacts.
  • Marketing expansion.
  • Entering new markets.
Our developers are already working hard on these updates. We can't wait to present it to you :)

Sum-up

As usual, these two months were not easy. The main reason for the dissatisfaction of the community was the depreciation of SNK, caused by the sale of tokens purchased in the private round. We understand your frustration and we appreciate our early adopters. At the same time, our position remains the same: those who come to the project at the very beginning and believe in it to the end will earn the most. Cryptosnake is primarily a play-to-earn game, and therefore, to make money in it, you need to play, not just hold SNK, waiting for the rate to rise.

The game continues to develop. We see impressive growth in the number of players. Obviously, that is just the beginning, and the most interesting is yet to come!
