Valuation of digital money industry exceeds $1.413 trillion, higher than total value of IT giant’s stock.

The crypto market has surpassed Google in capitalization for the first time. As of February 10, the valuation of all digital coins is $1.413 trillion, according to Coinmarketcap. Alphabet (Google’s parent company) is capitalized at $1.404 trillion on the NASDAQ exchange on the afternoon of Feb. 10.

Most of the coins began to appreciate sharply after Tesla announced a $1.5 billion bitcoin purchase, with total cryptocurrency capitalization trailing Apple (capitalization of $2.2 trillion), Microsoft ($1.8 trillion) and Amazon ($1.6 trillion).

In 2015, all Google shares were converted to Alphabet and are traded on NASDAQ under the tickers GOOGL (Class A) and GOOG (Class C). In the former case, holders get voting rights; in the latter, they do not.

During the last wave of growth, bitcoin and Ethereum renewed their historical highs in value above $48,000 and $1,800, respectively. At the same time the value of the Binance BNB exchange token was approaching the $150 mark.
