Similar to the recently floated bitco.in/news idea, I am also considering establishing a wiki on this site.
Given that the current Bitcoin Wiki (located at bitcoin.it) is owned and controlled by theymos and an approval from Bitcointalk moderators is required to become an editor there, it would make sense to start decentralizing such a vast body of knowledge about Bitcoin.
We can use an existing dump of bitcoin.it, so it wouldn't be starting from scratch. Please let me know what kind of interest exists in this. Running a wiki is a significant commitment and an expensive venture. I am open to having a reputable Bitcoin community member serve as an administrator.
