Web Host Recommendations

I need a host for a simple personal site. Something like goddady (email, cpanel, cms etc) but I would prefer a smaller European provider. Any ideas?

(I stopped doing this years ago. I should know better.)

I could recommend a service I'm using, but their website is only available in German (however the management interface is available in English). Server location: Germany, Payments: SEPA only

Thanks. German only is a bit off putting. Do they have a free trial? Site5 does and seems to have everything I need.

If you want to host a simple, low traffic web page and some random services maybe you could use a free dynamic DNS service and a Raspberry Pi (apache+whatever) on your home connection. Most modern routers support dyndns so it should be fairly easy to setup.

I didn't know free dynamic DNS services were a thing. I presume I can point it at my linux box and run nodes as well as websites?
